The Project
What we built, and why.
MAHSA Specialist Hospital treats patients across Selangor, with specialties from orthopaedics and paediatrics to bariatric surgery and radiology, alongside priced health-screening and vaccination packages and the MSH+ membership.
A hospital website is used under stress. Patients arrive looking for one thing — a doctor, an appointment, a price or the emergency number — and the site has to give it to them before anything else.

Visual Work
The design, on every screen.
Design Process
How we approached it.
We designed around the four tasks patients come with — find a doctor, see the packages, make an appointment, call. They sit in the hero and in a fixed side bar, with the general, WhatsApp and emergency lines always visible at the top.
The rest of the site — specialties, facilities, international patients, news — is organised for browsing, in a clinical blue palette that reads as calm and trustworthy.

Problem Solving
Challenges and solutions.
01 Challenge
Patients under stress need one thing, fast.
A hospital site full of news and facilities makes a worried visitor hunt for the number.
01 Solution
Tasks first, information second.
The four patient tasks and the three phone lines are visible on every screen.
02 Challenge
A large catalogue that changes often.
Specialties, doctors, packages and memberships change regularly, and packages carry prices.
02 Solution
Catalogues the hospital manages itself.
Specialties, doctors and packages are edited by the hospital team in the CMS, with the price shown on each package.
Outcome
Results and impact.
Patients reach a doctor, a price, an appointment or the emergency line from any page, and the hospital team keeps specialties, doctors and packages current themselves.
Takeaway
Final thoughts.
“A hospital website is read by someone who is worried. Design for that person first.”
The most important decision was what not to put first. Everything that does not help a patient act sits one level down.
